Organize a Drive
Bring Hope to Your Community
Bringing people together to collect food and needed items, our Food Drives make a real difference. Whether you host a drive at your workplace, school, church, or community group — or help with a community-wide effort — your support helps feed families and individuals across Northeastern Pennsylvania.
Want to organize a food or fund drive?
Food and fund drives are a powerful way for schools, churches, businesses, and community organizations to get involved in hunger relief. We accept donations of food or funds, and many partners also contribute volunteer hours. Our Food Bank welcomes your support in any way you can give.
If you or your group would like to host a food drive, download our Food Drive Flyer or contact:

How to Run a Successful Drive
1: Plan ahead
Decide when you want to hold your drive and contact Amanda to set it up. We can provide promotional posters, materials, and our logo.
2: Set a goal
Friendly competition often boosts participation. Set a target for donations and offer fun incentives to encourage engagement.
3: Accept financial contributions
If someone forgets items but still wants to help, they can donate money instead. We’ll provide a receipt for tax purposes if contact info is collected. You can also host a fully virtual drive — check out our Virtual Food Drive page for details.
4: Deliver your donations
Drop off at our warehouse or call ahead for pickup if you have a large donation. Contact us at 570-826-0510 ext. 505.
5: Celebrate & thank supporters
Host a wrap-up event or recognition ceremony to honor contributors and share results.
6: Do it again!
Keep the momentum going by planning your next drive — maybe around another holiday, special event, or just because giving never stops.
When We Need Help Most
Donation levels tend to rise around October, November, and December — but hunger is a year-round issue. Help us fill the gap by planning drives during quieter months. Events tied to holidays like St. Patrick’s Day, summer break, or local celebrations can be a great fit. Our ongoing drives include Mail Carriers’ Stamp Out Hunger (May), Feed-A-Friend (November), and Christmas in July.
What We Can and Cannot Accept
We welcome: non-perishable foods, shelf-stable items, and properly packaged donations.
We cannot accept: perishable foods, items in open containers, home-canned or home-processed foods, or anything outside safe consumption standards. All donations are inspected before distribution to ensure safety and quality.
If you’re unsure — contact us.
