People Helping People.

When you’re struggling, we’re here.

Access food, housing, and community support programs designed to help you get back on your feet with dignity.

You have the power to make change.

Volunteer your time, donate resources, or organize a food drive. Together, we can make sure no one goes hungry.

Transforming dependency into empowerment.

Founded in 1966, CEO People Helping People began as a community action agency dedicated to alleviating poverty in Northeast Pennsylvania. Governed by a tripartite board (consumers, public sector, private sector), we work locally from offices in Wilkes-Barre, Kingston, Hazleton, and Tunkhannock.

Each year, our 145 staff members (full and part time) deliver more than 70 programs to address food insecurity, housing instability, job readiness, and energy challenges. In 2023 alone, CEO served over 77,000 individuals.

Built from the heart up.

Weinberg Northeast Regional Food Bank

As the region’s largest hunger-relief hub, the Weinberg Northeast Regional Food Bank distributes millions of pounds of food each year to families in need and more than 200 partner pantries across Northeast Pennsylvania. From fresh produce to shelf-stable staples, the Food Bank ensures that nutritious food reaches every corner of our community.
