So Many Ways to Give

Your generosity fuels every meal we provide.

Whether you give through a donor-advised fund, your IRA, your workplace, or a direct gift — every contribution helps us serve thousands of neighbors facing hunger each week.

There isn’t just one way to make an impact. Choose the giving option that works best for you.

Give Through a Donor-Advised Fund (DAF)

A donor-advised fund (DAF) is a simple, tax-advantaged way to streamline your charitable giving. If you already have a DAF, you can directly recommend a grant to CEO’s Weinberg Regional Food Bank.

We regularly receive designated gifts from:

  • Fidelity Charitable
  • The Luzerne Foundation
  • Scranton Area Community Foundation
  • Community Foundation of the Endless Mountains

To get started, connect with your financial or legal advisor and recommend a grant today.

Make a Tax-Free IRA Gift

If you are 70½ or older, you may be eligible to make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) directly from your IRA.

  • IRA contributions sent directly to us may count toward your required minimum distribution.
  • Qualified charitable distributions are tax-free when sent directly from your IRA.
  • We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

This can be a powerful way to give while maximizing tax efficiency.

Give Through United Way

CEO’s Weinberg Regional Food Bank is a member of the United Way and can receive designated donations made through United Way pledges and campaigns.

If your employer participates in a United Way campaign, you can designate your gift directly to support the Food Bank.

Workplace & Employer Matching Gifts

Many employers support charitable giving by:

  • Matching employee donations
  • Matching volunteer hours
  • Allowing employees to nominate nonprofits for corporate or foundation grants

Local and national employers that have supported CEO’s Weinberg Regional Food Bank include:

  • Nationwide
  • State Farm
  • Walmart
  • Sam’s Club
  • Amcor
  • Allstate
  • Comcast
  • CVS Health
  • Williams Companies
  • Mondelez International
  • Merck & Co.

State employees can also give through SECA (State Employee Combined Appeal), and many additional employers offer giving programs through United Way.

Check with your HR department to see if your gift can be matched — you may be able to double your impact.
